Tattling is telling or complaining about the actions of another person or group. Children often go to their teacher hoping they will solve their problems rather than trying to work their troubles out for themselves. Reporting is about bringing facts to the attention of a teacher or adult so that others are safe. Children need to be taught that it is necessary to tell if they or others are hurt, in danger, or being bullied.
