shutterstock_139406252_800x533Yesterday evening, I came across an article at Slate.com entitled, The School Day’s About To Get a Little Longer for Some Students.

It seems that, in a few states, school districts are going to be testing longer school days for some students. I’d like to hear your thoughts on this.

What do you think about this idea? Does it have merit? Has anyone tried it?

Are more hours needed or would “Really Terrific Instruction,” implemented in all classrooms at all grade levels in a well scheduled and structured school, achieve the same thing in less time?

What do you think about this idea?
