#19 One to Manage Logistics — One for Safety and Questions
Some classroom activities, such as experiments in physics or chemistry or maintenance activities in a computer class, involve having students work with equipment or materials that could cause harm if not used correctly. At the elementary level, activities that employ certain manipulatives or equipment may need extra supervision. This co-teaching implementation ensures safety and smooth transitions.
Specialist content expertise required: Should be able to model competently and monitor proper safety procedures. Subject matter expertise is minimal to moderate, depending on the activity.
Planning time required: Minimal. Can be implemented quickly and informally without preparation.
