Cyberbullying

Cyberbullying: Who’s to Blame?

Most of the comments following this article: “Cyber bullies … Schools, parents grapple with how to protect young victims” blame today’s parents. Do you think this is fair? Accurate? What can truly be done about bullying now that ‘cyberbullying” has made the issue national news. We KNOW bullying has been around forever, it’s just now, it’s more devastating, 24/7 AND there’s proof.

I don’t think it’s as simple as blaming parents. When we blame others for the problem, we deny our ownership of the issue. Do we all own a piece of this problem? The issue, in my view, is much more systemic, cultural and complex.  Rather than blame, what can we as a society do to fix it?
